AWANA Awards and Incentives:
Handbook
Awards:
Each
child is allowed to work at his/her own pace and has the opportunity
to earn many exciting awards. These awards are worn on their
uniforms. If your child progresses at an average of 2-3 sections
per week, he or she will be able to complete their handbook and will
be awarded a ribbon, plaque or trophy at the end of the year.
Please refer to their handbook for further explanation and
illustration.
Club
Attendance:
Quarterly
Club Attendance Awards will be given to each uniformed clubber who
regularly attends AWANA according to the following guidelines. Each
clubber is allowed two excused absences per quarter. Illness,
family emergency are examples of an excused absence.
Sunday
School Attendance:
This award
is given twice a year, to each uniformed clubber who regularly
attends Sunday School (doesn’t have to be here at Grace Community
Church), and is allowed two unexcused absences.
Truth Trackers!
A clubber in
the 3rd – 6th grade clubs can earn the
privilege of being a Truth Tracker if they stay “on tract” in his or
her handbook. A child must complete one Discovery or Challenge in
their handbooks per month to qualify. A chart will be located in
the clubroom’s bulletin board for each of the four clubs to identify
all clubbers who maintain this consistent pace. Also, clubbers who
qualify will receive a small prize such as a bookmark, pencil,
snack, etc. We will also continue to award “Clubber of the Month”,
and “Clubber of the Year” to the highest achieving clubbers as we
have in the past. This incentive is a way to reward consistency and
achievement for all who are faithful in memorizing and learning
God’s Word. We believe this change is consistent with the Biblical
truth that God does reward faithfulness, not just result. We are
all given different gifts and levels of ability. To be using them
to their greatest potential according to God’s Will for our lives is
the ultimate calling of every believer.

AWANA Shares
and AWANA Store
The AWANA
store is for clubbers in the Seekers, Challengers, Ambassadors and
Searchers clubs. It is our desire to encourage
our clubbers to enjoy club and complete as many sections in their
handbooks as possible. Each clubber can earn AWANA shares in many
ways. Once a share is given to clubbers, it is his/her
responsibility to keep the shares in a safe place. Shares cannot be
replaced if lost or stolen, encourage your child to handle them
responsibly. The AWANA store will be opened the first Wednesday of
each month (starting in October), in the kitchen.
