MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of
Grace Community Church is to reach out to the unsaved and to make
disciples of believers through growth oriented programs that meet
the needs of individuals and families. Our example of caring and
love for one another will be our witness as we minister; with
Biblically sound and practical preaching, youth ministries, small
group fellowships, Sunday school, domestic and world missions. We
will train lay leaders to use their spiritual gifts to assist in the
work of the church. In everything we do we will strive to be
faithful to Christ.

CORE VALUES
-
Desire
to Serve God - God is first in our lives,
our church, all that we do as believers- He is the motivation for an
active ministry lifestyle.
(Josh 24:15; Eph
4:15; Col 1:18, 2:10)
-
Biblically Based Preaching-
God's Word is the absolute truth. It is the foundation for our life
and ministry. (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pt 1:20-21)
-
Prayer
- Prayer is our
backbone for effective ministry as a church and individuals as it
develops a continuous attitude of dependence on God. (Acts 1:14; Eph
6:18; Phil 4:6; Col. 4:2; Jam 5:16)
-
Worship - Worship is our
response, both personal and corporate to God; not as an act, but as
a lifestyle. (Jn 4:24; 1 Chron 16:29; Ps 95:6)
-
Unity - Working together
is essential for effective ministry. (Ps 133:1; Eph 4:3; Col 3:14)
-
Evangelism - Godly
lifestyle is our witness to the non-churched. We will provide
training and opportunities to share Jesus with the unsaved in a way
they can understand and relate to. (Matt 28:19-20; Mk 16:15; 1 Pt
3:15)
-
Children/Youth
- Children are gifts of God. Therefore, we'll provide love,
nurture, and training to equip children, teens, and families to
become responsible disciples of God and empower them to lead a
vibrant Christian life. (Prv 22:6; Ps 127:3; Matt 19:14; Eph 4:12)
-
Spiritual Growth –
Spiritual Growth is vital for healthy ministry. We will develop
small groups to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of
people in a meaningful and effective way. (Acts 2:42; Phil 3:13-14;
Heb 5:14; 6:1)
-
Mission-minded
–We are committed to active participation in the support of
missions, both domestic and globa1. (Matt 9:37-38, 28:19-20; Jn
4:34-36)
-
Loving and Caring
- Maintaining a warm, loving, and Christ-like atmosphere in which
the needs of people are met in a meaningful way. (Phil 2:2-3, 5-8;
Rom 12:10; 1 Cor 10:12)
-
Disciple-Making
- We
value the process of disciple making. Therefore, it is our desire to
offer ministries that encourage and empower us to live as disciples
of Christ. (Matt 28:19-20; Eph 4:12; Col 2:6-8)
